  • Thierry Garnaud, former maître de chai at Château Cheval Blanc for 38 years, has been our winemaker at Canon Chaigneau since 1995.

  • Canon Chaigneau sits on 21 hectares of clay and limestone with iron deposits, at the highest point of the Néac plateau, where vines have been grown for over 2000 years.
  • Our 21 hectares are directly connected to the most prestigious part of the Pomerol plateau, neighbouring some of the greatest estates of Pomerol.
  • As Decanter notes, “The plateau is essentially a continuation of that of Pomerol itself.”
